What you will be doing :
Lead the maintenance team and oversee all aspects of repair maintenance, preventive maintenance, and machinery reliability.
Ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the manufacturing operation.
Contribute to overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) by implementing best practices in maintenance and reliability.
Reduce downtime and optimize equipment performance.
Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance plans, schedules, and reporting using a CMMS.
Coordinate and execute both reactive and preventative maintenance activities.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prioritize maintenance tasks and minimize downtime.
Recommend and oversee contractors handling maintenance tasks.
Identify opportunities for process improvement in maintenance procedures and implement best practices.
Collaborate with engineering and production teams to enhance equipment reliability and efficiency.
Drive initiatives to increase overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) and reduce unplanned downtime.
Utilize data analytics tools, including but not limited to CMMS, to assess equipment performance and identify areas for improvement.
Generate reports on equipment reliability, maintenance KPIs, and recommendations for improvement.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment history.
Support the facility and cooperate with EH&S to ensure compliance with all local, state, federal, OSHA, EPA, insurance, and other regulatory requirements.
Drive initiatives and support activities that improve and maintain high levels of safety compliance and accident prevention throughout the operation.
Prepare or provide required data for facility reports and compliance records.
Provide training on new equipment, maintenance procedures, and safety protocols.
Initiate programs and activities that develop team members and stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies.
Experience you will need :
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience in maintenance and reliability engineering within a manufacturing environment.
Knowledge of both equipment and facilities maintenance, including Boilers, steam and condensate distribution systems, air compressors, and compressed air distribution systems.
HVAC systems, chiller, and air washer experience is a plus.
Strong knowledge of preventative maintenance strategies and reliability-centered maintenance principles.
Strong mechanical aptitude with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment, both within maintenance and cross-functionally.
Familiarity with OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory standards related to manufacturing environments.
