Job Overview:
As a Construction Project Engineer at RBA Builders, you will play a vital role in coordinating and managing various aspects of construction projects. You will work closely with the project management team to ensure the successful execution of projects to meet budget, safety, quality, and safety requirements.
You will assist the Project Manager and Superintendent to complete all project deliverables required for successful project completion.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and manage all submittals and procurement activities to ensure on-time product deliveries and approvals.
- Serve as the primary liaison with subcontractors, suppliers, and on-site teams, providing frequent updates regarding scope changes, schedule modifications, and budget constraints.
- Oversee project progress, proactively identifying and resolving schedule or budget risks. Leverage Procore and other construction management software to track cost, timelines, quality, and overall performance.
- Conduct comprehensive reviews of project drawings, specifications, and contracts to ensure compliance, accuracy, and alignment with contractual obligations. Initiate and manage change orders as needed.
- Lead quality control efforts from pre-construction through project close-out, ensuring all installations meet or exceed standards and specifications.
- Manage and maintain all project documentation, including daily reports, material tracking logs, RFI logs, and meeting minutes.
- Facilitate regular project status meetings with owners, architects, and internal teams; compile action items and drive them to completion.
- Ensure strict compliance with industry regulations, company standards, and local building codes.
- Collaborate with safety teams to uphold jobsite safety protocols and practices.
- Perform additional tasks as required to achieve on-time and on-budget project completion.
Experience:
- Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in construction project management, field engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- Proven track record of successfully managing or supporting multiple construction projects simultaneously.
Skills:
Project Management Software: Proficiency in Procore (or similar) for budget tracking, scheduling, documentation, and reporting.
- Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, codes, and industry best practices.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders.
- Analytical Ability: Skilled at reading and interpreting project plans, blueprints, and specifications to identify potential conflicts or areas for optimization.
- Technical Tools: Proficient with Windows OS, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), and Bluebeam (advanced proficiency preferred).
- Time Management: Ability to prioritize tasks, manage competing deadlines, and adapt quickly to changing project demands.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in construction management or related field.
- Previous experience in managing mid-sized commercial construction projects.
- Familiarity with local building codes and regulations.
