Job Title: PRN Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN)
Description:
We are seeking skilled and compassionate LPNs to join our Medication Assisted Opioid Treatment Program. As a key member of our team, you will provide high-quality patient care, administer medications, monitor progress, and maintain accurate records.
Responsibilities:
- Administer and observe ingestion of oral medication, injections, immunizations, and medications with training and supervision
- Assist Registered Nurse with triage and crisis intervention as needed
- Consult with prescriber, lead nurse, case manager, team members, and pharmacies on new orders, changes, pre-authorizations, and lab results
- Maintain patient charts, logs, and records, and utilize electronic health records to document dosing and medical concerns
- Participate in training in the use of naloxone to reverse opioid overdose
Requirements:
- Graduation from a State accredited program of practical nurse education
- Modest experience as a practical nurse in a behavioral health setting
- Possession of a current license as a Practical Nurse issued by the Commonwealth of Virginia Board of Nursing
