Job Description
- The entry-level Electronics Technician will assist the Engineering Department in supporting the production and servicing needs of medical devices.
- Assist in troubleshooting medical device systems and subsystems using test instrumentation such as DVM, high voltage probes, current probes, signal generators, and oscilloscopes to determine the root causes of failures.
- Evaluate and analyze test data, troubleshoot electronic circuits to component level on integrated electronic circuit boards, and effectively identify failure trends.
- Applies knowledge and skills to support investigations in identifying, analyzing, and resolving issues that may arise during medical device production and/or service activities.
- Supports the design, manufacture, test, and documentation of new and existing specialized test jigs and test systems for use by engineering, production, and service organizations.
- Assists in the creation of detailed manufacturing instructions, drawings, and test procedures in support of new products.
- Supports the training and knowledge transfer of manufacturing instructions and test procedures to both the production and service organizations.
- Create equipment specification and calibration documentation for tools and systems utilized by the engineering, production, and service organizations.
- Perform in-house calibrations of test and measurement tools.
- Performs testing and troubleshooting following test documentation and engineering instructions.
- Works with Engineering, Quality Control, vendors, and customers regarding testing and performance issues.
- Apply a get-it-done and get-it-done-right mindset coupled with attention to detail.
- Adhere to and support all safety guidelines at RbM
- Complete other duties as assigned.
- Associate's degree in Electronics Technology.
- Ability to troubleshoot electronic circuits to component level and effectively identify failures.
- Educational experience troubleshooting electromechanical systems.
- Knowledgeable of various soldering techniques.
- Assemble, solder, and test electronic boards following schematics.
- Capable of building basic electrical cables.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and mechanical drawings.
- Microsoft Office Suite experience.
- Ability to work in a team setting.
- AutoCAD or SolidWorks experience.
