JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for accurately storing, shipping, and receiving a product to meet company standards on safety, security, and productivity.

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Moves product to correct storage location and ensuring the product is appropriately stacked
• Makes certain inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage. Reports quality variances
• Completes first count of pick and ensures the second count is done (by the stager if applicable)
• Completes all necessary paperwork
• Is responsible for accurate put-a-way and picking and is required to count after pick when necessary
• Will be expected to complete cycle counts either physically or through the RF gun on a regular basis
• Ensures proper stock rotation
• Operates any material handling machines as required, including forklifts, balers, blenders, and packaging machines in a safe manner
• Maintains the forklift and work area in a neat, clean, and orderly fashion. Cleans up any spills caused by the machine (i.e. hydraulic fluid, oils)
• Inspects and performs minor maintenance on the turret daily. Completes reports and records accurately and gives to supervisor for record keeping
• Reports any maintenance issues immediately to supervisor so a work order can be done
• Ensures that tight control and security are maintained. Assists in physical inventories
• Performs labeling, sorting, wrapping, packing, and light assembly
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor/manager

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent
• Must have minimum of one-year forklift experience
• Must be able to read, count accurately, do simple math, and write legibly
• Must be able to complete internal certification program
• Must be capable of sitting, standing, and walking for extended periods of time
• Must be able to twist, stoop, squat, reach above shoulder level and crouch on a frequent basis
• Must be able to use proper technique to lift 50 pounds

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.50 per hour

• 10 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
• Morning shift
• Weekends as needed
