JOB SUMMARY: Yard Jockey is responsible for filling customer orders and delivering them to the delivery platform in a manner that meets company standards for safety, security, and productivity.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Move Trailers and Containers from the yard to designated areas as assigned.
- Maintain Yard sanitation to standard.
- Reports any maintenance issues immediately to supervisor so a work order can be done.
- Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area. Assist in maintaining the security of the warehouse. Conduct operations in a manner that promotes safety. Comply with OSHA and MSDS Standards.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
GOALS / OUTCOMES:
- Accurate transactions of the type of product loaded and shipped.
- Timely shipments of customer orders.
- Meet daily productivity measures
- Maintain safety standards
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must have Class A CDL
- Must be able to read, count accurately, do simple math, and write legibly.
- Must be able to complete internal certification program.
- Must be capable of sitting, standing, and walking for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to twist, stoop, squat, reach above shoulder level and crouch on a frequent basis.
- Must be able to use proper technique to lift 50 pounds.
