You’ll play a pivotal role in designing new products and accessories, refining existing designs for greater reliability and cost efficiency, and applying your talents across a diverse range of engineering disciplines.

Why You’ll Love This Role:

  • Work directly where your ideas are being built and tested.
  • Design innovative solutions in sheet metal, weldments, mechanical linkages, aesthetic design, powertrain systems, structures, and vibration control.
  • Directly shape products that are changing the game for commercial landscaping.
  • Gain exposure to the full project lifecycle, from concept and design to prototyping, testing, and final delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to conceptualize, design, and develop mechanical systems and components.
  • Utilize SolidWorks to create precise models and manufacturing drawings that meet company standards.
  • Lead the design and development of new products and accessories, ensuring alignment with performance and cost goals.
  • Refine and optimize existing designs for improved reliability and cost savings.
  • Apply engineering expertise in powertrain systems, structural design, and vibration control to enhance product functionality.
  • Oversee prototyping, testing, and validation of new designs, with thorough documentation of results.
  • Lead design reviews, providing actionable insights to enhance product performance and address potential challenges.
  • Partner with suppliers and manufacturing teams to bring designs to life through prototyping and production.
  • Plan and execute product revisions, block changes, and root cause analysis to address failures or inefficiencies.
  • Maintain and manage technical documentation for end users.

WHO YOU ARE

We’re looking for someone with:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
  • At least 5 years of intense engineering experience.
  • Mastery of SolidWorks and experience with PDM.
  • Proven expertise across sheet metal, weldments, mechanical linkages, aesthetic design, structures and vibration, and powertrain systems.
  • A track record of solving complex problems and delivering innovative solutions.
  • Outstanding communication skills, with the ability to simplify technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
  • Strong organizational skills to juggle multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

You’re the standout. In your current company, you rise above the rest because of your relentless drive, exceptional talent, and unwavering determination. You’re the one who sparks change, drives innovation, and carries the team to success.

But you want more. You’re tired of shouldering the load alone—you’re ready to be part of a team where everyone operates at your level. A team that matches your energy, ambition, and commitment to winning. At RC Mowers, you’ll find a culture of excellence where high performers like you thrive together.

BONUS SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Experience with outdoor power equipment, robotics, construction machinery, or similar products.
  • Familiarity with analysis tools such as FEA, with additional skills in vibration, structures, or CFD being highly beneficial.
  • Project management skills with a strong understanding of how projects move from initial concept to final delivery.
  • A holistic understanding of product delivery, ensuring designs are practical, manufacturable, and meet customer expectations.

KEY TRAITS WE VALUE

  • Drive: You’re motivated to achieve excellence, and your results speak for themselves.
  • Accountability: You take ownership of your work, whether successes or challenges.
  • Adaptability: You thrive in dynamic environments and embrace change.
  • Self-Direction: You excel without micromanagement and maintain discipline in your work.
  • Curiosity: You have a growth mindset and a thirst for continuous learning.
  • Passion: You won’t settle for mediocrity—you stand up for the customer and what you believe in.

WHY WORK HERE

  • Earn What You’re Worth: We reward exceptional talent generously. Your impact will be recognized, and your contributions will directly shape both your success and the success of the team.
  • Push Your Limits: This is not for the faint of heart. You’ll be challenged to solve problems you didn’t think possible, stretch your skills to new heights, and work on projects that demand grit, determination, and brilliance. Growth here isn’t optional—it’s inevitable.
  • Competitive Benefits: Enjoy paid vacation and sick leave, health/dental/vision insurance, and a matching 401(k) plan, among other things.
  • Transform an Industry: Join a team creating products that don’t just compete—they change the game. At RC Mowers, you’ll help lead a revolution in the way the world thinks about mowing.
