Role Summary:
Power Consultant will conduct sales consultations as a member of the RC WATT sales & marketing team, reporting to the General Manager of Sales & Marketing with support from our Inside Sales team. This position offers a base salary of $52,000/year and after completing training, including staffing a 9 day home show in March, the annual salary range posted is achievable.

Job Description:
- Generate new leads through various channels, including networking, referrals, cold calling, and door-to-door canvassing.
- Conduct in-home consultations to assess customer needs and provide detailed, customized quotes for RC WATT backup power and related solutions.
- Work with Inside Sales to improve overall processes and their knowledge to offer estimates from blueprint drawings and photos (virtual consultations).
- Build and maintain a rapport with clients. Ensure satisfaction and address any questions or concerns, following the established sales processes through to completion.
Responsibilities:
- Present a professional appearance and image to the clients/prospects during all interactions, including correspondences, and wear RC WATT attire.
- Embrace and support RC WATT values and key principals.
- Arrive at sales appointments prepared and on time by using the company CRMs to best prepare for appointments and follow up.
- Work towards meeting or exceeding individual and sales team goals. Commitment to converting sales leads to sales.
- Ability to self-manage time and activities to meet deadlines, goals, quotas, and client requirements.
- Ability to organize and follow through in handling details, documentation, records, requests, and processes with effective communication.
- Interface with the Operations teams for installations and provide a white glove inspection of installations.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and product knowledge by attending sales meetings, training sessions, and industry events, as required.
- Other duties as assigned by GM, Sales & Marketing.
Requirements:
- Results driven individual with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Advanced written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Proven sales experience, preferably in a trade (e.g., HVAC, construction, electrical).
- Ability to understand electrical, mechanical, and home standby generators.
- Ability to manage multiple projects while working under pressure.
- Must have a valid state motor vehicle operator's license with a clean driving record.
- College degree preferred but greater emphasis on demonstrated abilities.
- Minimum of one year selling/customer service experience.
- Work weekends as needed – the greatest opportunity is for meeting clients when they are available.
- Requires ability for frequent sitting, walking, reaching waist level, climbing stairs/ladders.
- Requires ability for occasional reaching from floor to/or above shoulder level.
- Must be able to routinely lift/move items weighing up to 55 lbs and place them on raised surfaces.
