RN Unit Manager
STARTING RATE: $35.00 (paying $35.00 - $38.28 per hour depending on experience)
SIGN-ON BONUS: up to 7,500.00

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Unit managers are responsible for managing the nursing unit. They primarily supervise the daily care of patients and ensure quality patient care.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Directing, coordinating, and supervising the activities of all nursing staff engaged in a designated unit
- Authority, responsibility, and accountability for the overall management of residents in a designated unit
- Responsible for transmitting each unit's staff concerns to the appropriate department supervisor.
- Maintenance of Resident Care Plans and the overall management of resident care
- Other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS:
- Degree from an accredited school of nursing
- Current and valid license as a Registered Nurse in the state of New York required
- Must have a minimum of one year of experience in nursing service administration. Additional education or experience in rehabilitative or geriatric nursing is preferred.
- Must possess knowledge of state, federal, and local regulations pertaining to long-term care.
- Must be flexible, punctual, professional, and reliable
- Strong customer service skills and compassion
- Basic computer knowledge, PCC e-MAR experience preferred
- Physical endurance for frequent activity; ability to lift a minimum of 20 pounds
