Title: Wealth Services Manager

POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for directly overseeing the solicitation of new trust and wealth business from present and prospective customers; implementing strategies to achieve goals developed for the department as part of the strategic plan; ensuring the department's compliance with operating policies and procedures; directly supervising assigned personnel; communicating with appropriate management and staff personnel; providing periodic reports.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Motivate, coach, and counsel direct reports through frequent individual contact to ensure achievement of established goals.
  • Play a central role in recruiting and hiring Wealth Advisors.
  • Actively participate in establishing strategic direction and annual goals for the department.
  • Implement strategies to achieve goals as established in the strategic plan.
  • Serve as backup to the department’s Wealth Strategist as needed.
  • Assist in the development of the annual department budget and adhere to budget parameters.
  • Participate in internal committees as assigned.
  • Maintain a book of existing clients and actively solicit new business from current and prospective customers.
  • Provide assistance to the Senior Fiduciary Officer as needed.
  • Maintain proficient knowledge of the investment policy and procedures and ensure same are followed by direct reports.
  • Maintain knowledge of current industry laws and regulations and ensure the same are followed by direct reports.
  • Maintain timely and accurate records.
  • Represent RCB Bank by being active in the community. Actively participate in service organizations, community activities, etc. to promote a positive bank image and to generate leads for new business efforts.
  • Cross sell bank products and services as appropriate.
  • Ensure compliance with RCB Bank policy.
  • Achieve established personal goals and objectives.
  • Meet deadlines to complete all assigned training.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATIONS & TRAINING:
  • College degree or equivalent, related education/experience preferred.
  • Must hold and maintain a minimum of one professional designation/certification related to the Trust and/or Wealth industry (e.g. CFP®, ChFC®, CTFA).
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in Trust and Wealth sales and services experience required.
  • Management experience in a related field required.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills, in person and on the telephone, hearing and speaking clearly, with strong client service orientation.

  • Ability to handle multiple projects with proven attention to accuracy and detail.
  • Must function efficiently and effectively under deadlines while remaining professional.
  • Ability to manage time and stress effectively and adjust to changing priorities, ensuring no loss of efficiency or accuracy and no negative impact on customer relations.
  • Ability to think clearly and learn quickly.
  • Ability to operate PCs and related office equipment with proficient knowledge in Microsoft 365 suite of products.
  • Must be presentable and professional to RCB Bank standards.
  • Must be able to read and speak English fluently.
  • All assigned compliance training, including online training courses, must be completed annually and, where applicable, a passing score must be achieved.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Individuals in the Wealth Services Manager position must be able to perform essential functions and physical demands within these documented working conditions with or without reasonable accommodation:

This position is in an office environment within a climate-controlled facility. There is frequent use of the telephone, computer and other office equipment associated with this position, as well as a large amount of face-to-face and phone interaction with trust department employees. Individuals in this position are typically seated at their personal desk for much of the day.

The individual responsible for this role must be able to perform job functions with indirect supervision and work effectively as a member of a team and independently. The individual must be capable of working harmoniously with diverse personalities of co-workers, staff, and customers. This position requires regular and reliable attendance and the ability to work varying hours.
