Position Description:
The Sales Manager will lead business development and account management efforts across our suite of Super Absorbent Medical (SAM) solutions in the healthcare industry. This role will focus on building and maintaining relationships with medical and consumer product manufacturers along with related sales channel partners. The ideal candidate will drive growth by expanding existing accounts, identifying new business opportunities, and delivering outstanding customer support in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
Responsibilities:
Sales Growth & Account Management
- Meet or exceed sales targets by developing strong relationships with key decision-makers. Manage the full sales cycle, from prospecting to closing deals.
Negotiation, Contracts & Strategic Planning
- Collaborate with the Sales Director to structure competitive pricing and contract terms while ensuring profitability. Develop and execute territory strategies, maintaining accurate records in CRM. Provide sales forecasts and progress updates, monitoring revenue and sales activities.
Technical & Application Support
- Offer expert guidance on product usage, handling, and application solutions tailored to customer needs. Act as a technical resource, working closely with engineering firms, consultants, and corporate clients.
Market Intelligence & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Research market trends and competitive activities, proposing strategic actions to expand market share. Work closely with plant personnel, marketing, technical service, and customer service teams to ensure product quality and service excellence.
Industry Engagement & Brand Representation
- Conduct presentations, product demonstrations, and training sessions for industry professionals. Represent the company at trade shows, seminars, and industry events to enhance brand visibility.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of complex sales experience in a progressive sales organization, including experience in our client's market segments.
- Demonstrated sales success in related industries such as medical fluid management, commercial cleaning supplies, paint products, puppy pads, hygiene, and nonwovens.
- Experience with formal sales training, value selling, and solution-based sales.
- Strong CRM expertise (Salesforce.com preferred) to execute sales pipeline management and optimize sales operations.
Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Chemistry, Engineering, Business Management) preferred.
