Job Overview:
RCO Engineering, Inc. has an immediate opening for a skilled and detail-oriented Trumpf 5-Axis Laser Operator / with experience using TruTops software to join our sheet metal manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the setup, program changes adjustments and operation of Trumpf 5-axis laser machines to produce high-precision parts according to engineering specifications.
Day in the Life:
- Set up and operate Trumpf 5-axis laser cutting machines.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work orders.
- Modify laser programs using TruTops
- Ensure parts meet strict tolerances and quality standards.
- Monitor production processes and make adjustments to improve efficiency and output.
- Collaborate with quality control teams to resolve any part discrepancies.
- Any other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- 2 years of experience operating Trumpf 5-axis laser systems.
- Proficiency with TruTops software
- Strong understanding of sheet metal fabrication, laser cutting techniques, and machine capabilities.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and 3D models.
- Be willing to learn our Epicor system.
