Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Monitor to join our team. Duties
- Supervise and monitor student activities in various settings, ensuring safety and compliance with school policies.
- Communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents to provide support and guidance.
- Educate students on appropriate behavior and conflict resolution strategies.
- Implement behavior management techniques to address individual student needs.
- Assist in the development of individualized education plans (IEPs) for students requiring special education support.
- Provide first aid assistance as needed, ensuring the well-being of all students.
- Collaborate with teachers and other staff members to create an inclusive classroom environment.
- Maintain accurate records of student behavior and incidents, reporting any concerns to appropriate personnel.
Qualifications
- Experience working with children in a classroom or childcare setting is preferred.
- Knowledge of special education practices and behavior management strategies is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with students and staff.
- Ability to educate students on social skills, conflict management, and appropriate behaviors.
- First aid certification is a plus; willingness to obtain certification if not currently held is required.
- Experience working with students who have diverse needs is an advantage.
- A compassionate demeanor with the ability to build rapport with students from various backgrounds.
