What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bookkeeper position at RDG & Partners?
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for accounts receivable and payable functions
- Reconcile credit card accounts and inter-company accounts
- Enter client credit card payments in billing software
- Assist with payroll month-end entries
- Prepare monthly journal entries, bank reconciliations
- Manage month-end close process and general ledger review
- Reconcile Balance Sheet and Income Statement accounts for accuracy and trends
- Vendor maintenance and 1099 reporting
- Respond to routine accounting inquires internally and with vendors/clients as needed
- Adhere to the highest degree of professional standards and strict client confidentiality
Required Qualifications:
- A minimum of one year of small business accounting/bookkeeping experience
- A minimum of an Associates degree in a related discipline
- Computer expertise including proficiency with accounting software applications
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and reliability
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
- Solid analytical skills and a sincere willingness to learn
- Willingness to learn new accounting software. QuickBooks online certification a Plus.
