Summary
We are seeking an Assistant Controller to join our dynamic team at RDJS Property Management. In this role, you will play a vital part in managing financial operations and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. Your contributions will directly support our mission of delivering outstanding service in the commercial real estate sector.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the accounts payable function, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments.
- Manage year-end CAM reconciliations for commercial properties.
- Assist in monitoring and processing rents receivable, collaborating with accounts receivable and the management team.
- Assist monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.
- Oversee general ledger activities, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, tax regulations, and industry standards.
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Support external audits, tax filings, and lender reporting requirements.
- Implement and maintain strong internal controls and accounting best practices.
- Assist in system improvements and process optimizations.
Key Responsibilities:

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in commercial real estate or property management.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and real estate accounting principles.
- Proficiency in accounting software and financial reporting systems, Yardi is a plus.
- Exceptional Microsoft Excel skills with attention to detail and formula use.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
