What are the responsibilities and job description for the Collections Specialist position at RE/MAX Holdings, Inc.?
Job Summary: To collect and process past due office billing and annual dues from RE/MAX broker/owners and agents in the U.S. and Canada. Effectively managing and meeting the expectations of several different cross-functional departments simultaneously. Requiring strong organizational abilities, clear communication, and the capacity to prioritize tasks based on each departmental needs and deadlines.
Job Duties:
- Work closely with U.S. Customer Success, Customer Support, Customer Adoption, Contracts, Billing/Membership, and Legal departments on office billing collections.
- Initiate contact with brokerages to collect on past due office billing balances and collect on annual dues.
- Negotiate payment plans and escalate high-profile brokerages to Customer Success team.
- Coordinate demand-to-cure letters, closed office collection packages, etc.
- Research customer account to identify, reconcile, resolve billing and payment issues.
- Monitor payment plans and assist manager with special projects.
- Take the lead on research for escalated collection issues.
- Write up any adjustments, provide the required back up to remedy the situation and forward to the manager for approval. Will also approve other collector’s adjustment forms.
- Log customer contacts in the CRM system.
Preferred Education Requirements: Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent experience
Years of Experience: 3-5 years preferred
Years of Management Experience: No experience needed
Preferred Licensing, Certifications and Skill: Intermediate Microsoft Office skills: Excel, Word, Outlook
Hire Range/Rate:
$55,000 - $63,000
Actual compensation offered to candidate will be finalized at offer and may be above or below the posted range due to skill level, experience, industry specific knowledge, education/certifications, or geographic location. The offer rate represents one component of the RE/MAX Holdings total compensation package. Employees will also receive a number of benefits as listed below. Other compensation for this position may include bonus eligibility.
