Profile Summary:
The Senior Accountant will oversee and direct all general accounting activities including maintenance of accounting systems and standards and delivery of key financial management reports. Position will assist Controller with development, review, and analysis of Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Forecasts, Budgets and other financial reporting documents. Position will also be responsible for BBC bank reporting and other lender related documentation and requirements.
Key Accountabilities:
- Oversees general accounting department systems, policies, practices, and procedures.
- Preparation, development, and review of required financial reports.
- Improves and implements financial controls, ensuring accurate control and accounting of assets and accounts.
- Assists auditors/tax professionals with gathering and providing information and documents needed for inquiries.
- Responsible for all Balance Sheet account reconciliations and supporting documentation.
Plus – may perform other duties as assigned.
Education:
- Required: Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or related field
- Preferred Certification: CPA
Experience:
- 7 years experience in Accounting/Finance
- Experience with Pharmaceutical or Medical field, preferred
- Experience with private equity firms, preferred.
Technical / Specialized Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
- Strong knowledge and experience with general accounting
- Understanding of state and federal tax regulations
- Working knowledge of enterprise resource management and other accounting and finance related systems
- Proven ability to maintain excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Solid experience building and improving processes and promoting quality
- Strong analytical and decision making skills with established understanding of financial implication of decisions

Pay Range:
$80,000-$100,000 / year DOE
Actual base pay could vary based on factors including but not limited to experience, subject matter expertise, geographic location where work will be performed, and the applicant's skill set. The base pay is just one component of the total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include a quarterly bonus and a comprehensive benefits package.
