Job Description:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Hauling Logistics Coordinator to support and ensure the smooth operation of our hauling department. In this role, you will work closely with the Fleet Services Assistant and Director of Fleet Services to manage scheduling, driver communication, safety compliance, and various administrative tasks. Your ability to stay organized, manage multiple priorities, and communicate effectively with drivers and team members will be key to your success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Routine Operations:
- Collaborate with the Fleet Service Assistant to facilitate scheduling of repairs, road calls, and driver needs.
- Communicate and assist in resolving any problems or concerns that arise, while providing answers to driver questions.
- Maintain and update the hauling calendar/schedule, assign trucks, and input job information into computer systems.
- Oversee hauling invoices, receipts, and paperwork; maintain a filing system for non-ticket documents, ensuring proper paper flow in line with RLM's system.
- Driver Support & Coaching:
- Track issues/concerns related to hauling drivers and coordinate with the Director of Fleet Services.
- Assist with hauling driver interviews, as requested by HR.
- Facilitate proper onboarding for CDL drivers, including training and ensuring DOT compliance, along with RLM policies and procedures.
- Supplies & Safety:
- Ensure necessary supplies for the hauling department are stocked (paper, safety equipment, etc.) and submit orders to the Director of Fleet Services as needed.
- Stay updated on applicable safety, regulatory, environmental, and ethical standards to ensure department compliance.
- Performance & Monitoring:
- Assist in the development of supervisory goals and objectives for hauling drivers, and track their progress.
- Monitor daily activities involving the HD Fleet and report any misuse of equipment or violations to the Director of Fleet Services.
Job Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Knowledge of DOT rules and regulations and a valid CDL.
- Minimum of 1 year of prior administrative experience or equivalent degree.
- Familiarity with Google Workspace or similar platforms (preferred).
- Proficient in English, both written and spoken.
