- Job Type: Internship
- Pay: $20.00 per hour
- Start Date: Second week of May.
- End Date: Second week of August.
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–4:00 PM or 8:00 AM–5:00 PM

Function
Supports the engineering team by assisting in the design, modeling, and development of mechanical components and systems. The intern will work with CAD software, contribute to project management activities, and gain hands-on experience with mechanical and industrial engineering principles.
Key Deliverables
- CAD and 3D Modeling Support
- Utilize AutoCAD and SolidWorks to create and modify mechanical designs.
- Assist in the development of engineering drawings and specifications.
- Ensure models are accurate and align with project requirements.
- Mechanical Engineering Assistance
- Apply basic mechanical principles to support design and testing activities.
- Gain hands-on experience with power tools and shop equipment.
- Support the team in troubleshooting and refining mechanical systems.
- Project Management Participation
- Assist in planning and executing engineering projects.
- Track progress, document findings, and communicate updates to stakeholders.
- Support process improvement initiatives.
- Learning and Development
- Engage in training sessions to enhance technical knowledge.
- Seek feedback and apply learnings to ongoing tasks.
- Demonstrate a proactive and teachable attitude.
Requirements
- Proficient in AutoCAD and SolidWorks (or similar CAD/3D modeling software).
- Basic mechanical aptitude, including experience with power tools or shop work.
- Background in mechanical or industrial engineering (engineering degree or polytechnic coursework).
- Basic project management skills.
- Strong willingness to learn and adapt.
- Previous experience in an engineering or manufacturing environment.
- Exposure to prototyping, testing, and troubleshooting mechanical components.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

- Work Environment: Incumbent will occasionally be exposed to Cold Temperatures <65 degrees and Heat >80 degrees. The environment is well lit; the noise level is often minimal, but incumbent may be exposed to higher than 85 decibels on occasion.
