Job Summary
The Per Diem Crisis Intervention Advocate plays a crucial role in providing immediate support and assistance to individuals experiencing Domestic Violence, Sexual Violence, Stalking and Human Trafficking. This position requires a compassionate and skilled professional who can navigate complex emotional landscapes while offering guidance and resources. Ability to intervene appropriately in crisis situations and to maintain client confidentiality. Successful completion of 35 hours of pre-service training required.
Responsibilities
- Available for shifts during non-office hours (Weekend shifts Friday through Monday morning 5am-5pm and 5pm-5am). Holidays (5am-5pm and 5pm-5am)
- Respond promptly to crisis situations providing immediate intervention and support.
- Assess the needs of individuals in crisis, developing safety plans and offering advocacy and referral information.
- Advocate with clients in person at the police stations, hospitals, and other agencies, as determined by the client involved.
- Provide limited transportation to clients.
- Collaborate with social workers, law enforcement, and other community resources to help individuals.
- Maintain accurate documentation of all interactions, assessments, and interventions in accordance with organizational policies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field preferred; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of education.
- Demonstrated experience in crisis intervention.
- Excellent conflict management skills with the ability to de-escalate tense situations effectively.
- Knowledge of community resources available for those experiencing crises or challenges.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with a compassionate approach to client interactions.
- Live within 30 minutes of the Manchester area.

Pay: $75.00 - $100.00 per day

- 12 hour shift
- Day shift
- Overnight shift
- Weekends only
