REACH HR Generalist JOB DESCRIPTION
SUMMARY
Member of the Human Resources management team responsible for providing effective and consistent employment support in a human services agency. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: Primarily efforts to recruitment/employment and Onboarding in Paylocity and to Assist the HR Director with benefits administration, employee relations, performance management, policy implementation, affirmative action and compliance.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
Monitor and apply recruiting best practices.
Apply recruitment effort for all personnel.
Coordinate advertising, plan and attend job fairs, college fairs & outreach programs as needed.
Resolve and investigate personnel issues and concerns as needed.
Develops and maintains affirmative action program.
Participates in developing Policies & Procedures
Participate in the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures.
Adhere to all REACH policies and procedures.
Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment.
Assist with benefits administration to include claims resolution, change reporting, approving invoices for payment and communicating benefit information to employees.
Assist in the review and efficacy of annual insurance renewals and benefit Open enrollment.
Assist with the process and monitor all requests for PFMLA and STD, LTD and other leaves.
Assist in the process and monitor Worker’s Compensation claims. Safety/HIPPA officer.
Perform additional duties, or substitute for others as required. Provide all services in accordance with Reach’s philosophies including Staff and Board beliefs.
Requirements:
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree and 2 years human Resource experience, or Associate with HR experience and experience in the Human Services field.
- Capacity to maintain strict confidentiality with sensitive and legally protected information a must.
- Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Must be willing to authorize a Criminal History Background Check (CORI) and release of information concerning allegations from Disabled Persons Protection Commission (DPPC), Department of Developmental Services (DDS), and other agencies.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Must be fluent in English and have the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, IT operating and software instructions and procedures. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to communicate effectively with individuals under supervision, employees of the organization, families, and members of the community.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.
