Read Better Be Better's mission is to connect young readers and youth leaders to inspire a love of literacy and leadership.
Read Better Be Better (RBBB) is an education nonprofit focused on solving Arizona's literacy crisis. We work with partnering school districts throughout Phoenix to connect 3rd grade readers and middle school leaders to inspire a love of literacy and leadership. Since 2014, we have served thousands of Phoenix-area students with our after-school program in over 70 schools, as well as community-based programming across the state. Each school semester, we have expanded to serve more students, schools, and families. We are a mission-driven, collaborative community of passionate, creative, growth-minded professionals, and we welcome those seeking to contribute their work experience and skillset to making a positive impact on the education system in Arizona.
A Day as RBBB's Human Resource Generalist
The HR Generalist manages day-to-day HR operations. Responsibilities include overseeing the onboarding/offboarding process; managing compensation and benefits; managing employee relations; assisting with performance management; acting as payroll administrator; oversight of employee records administration; and management of the HRIS. This role is a key partner in assisting the HR Manager in developing, implementing, and evaluating HR department initiatives, policies, procedures, and systems. The HR Generalist collaborates with the HR Manager to ensure effective HR Management and employee satisfaction. This role primarily works in the Read Better Be Better office, with a mix of working on the computer, collaborating in meetings, and providing employee support over the phone, virtually and in-person.

What you need to qualify
High school diploma or equivalent; Prior experience working in an HR department; Prior demonstrated leadership experience; Minimum 1 year administrative experience with HRIS; Minimum 3 years of experience in Human Resources (in a non-profit or education, a plus!)
