Position Overview
Reporting to the Director of Purchasing, the Associate Buyer is responsible for coordinating and executing repetitive, high-volume purchases to support manufacturing operations. This role focuses on cost efficiency, supplier coordination, and ensuring on-time delivery to keep production running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
High-Volume Procurement Process and manage repetitive purchases of raw materials, components, and services, ensuring manufacturing deadlines are met.
Supplier Coordination Work with vendors to track deliveries, resolve discrepancies, and maintain reliable supply chains.
Purchase Order Execution Review requisitions, generate purchase orders, and monitor order status for accuracy and timeliness.
Cross-Functional Collaboration Align with engineering, manufacturing, and production control to support material needs.
Inventory & Quality Control Maintain vendor records, expedite orders as necessary, and coordinate returns or replacements for non-conforming materials.
Problem-Solving & Cost Management React quickly to resolve supply issues, optimize purchasing efficiency, and drive cost-effective procurement solutions.

Minimum Requirements
