Job Summary
Reading Power is seeking a full-time exempt position to support our mission of accelerating children's literacy learning and developing a love of reading in underserved schools.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide literacy support to staff members, promoting effective teaching practices and methodologies.
- Develop and implement program enhancements, ensuring data-driven decision making and continuous improvement.
- Design and deliver ongoing training for staff and tutors, fostering a culture of professional growth and development.
- Create and provide resources and materials to support programs, aligning with best practices in literacy education.
- Collaborate with the team to review assessments and analyze data, informing program adjustments and strategic planning.
- Model exemplary teaching and learning practices for staff and tutors, embodying Reading Power's commitment to excellence.
- Stay up-to-date on current trends and research in literacy, sharing knowledge and insights with the team to drive program innovation.
- Support the Director, Associate Director, Community Engagement Manager, and Volunteer Coordinator, contributing to the efficient functioning of Reading Power.
- Attend monthly staff meetings and occasional evening events, participating in collaborative discussions and decision-making processes.
