What are the responsibilities and job description for the Billing Assistant position at Ready 2 Xecute?
Job Information
Monday – Friday
8:00am – 5:00pm
Primary Responsibilities:
- Process and verify all accessorial charges including but not limited to detention, layover, re-delivery fees, and others
- Ensure accessorial charges are accurate and properly documented
- Oversee and process all lumper charges, ensuring they are accurately billed to the appropriate client or carrier
- Act as the primary point of contact for all lumper-related inquiries or issues
- Maintain a dedicated inbox for lumper-related matters and follow up on any outstanding issues
- Assist the Billing team in preparing and processing freight invoices for shipments
- Distribute invoices to clients and vendors in a timely manner
- Maintain accurate records of all billing transactions including lumper and accessorial charges
- Respond to inquiries from customers, carriers, and employees
- Support the Billing department with special billing projects or initiatives
- Other administrative tasks as needed.
Primary Responsibilities:
- 3 to 5 years of Billing experience (Logistics experience preferred!)
- High School Diploma (Required)
- Microsoft Office proficient
- Reliable transportation to office
- Detail oriented
