The successful candidate will assist in analyzing project specifications, preparing cost estimates, and collaborating with the engineering team to support accurate and competitive project bids.

The Mechanical Engineering will assist in analyzing project specifications, preparing cost estimates, and collaborating with engineering team to support accurate and competitive project bids. REQUIREMENTS:
- Assist in developing cost estimates for bids and contract revisions.
- Create a Bill of Materials and proposals.
- Perform preliminary sizing and component selection on systems per project requirements.
- Participation in the administration of bids, inquiry documents, scope of work, and schedules related to the job.
- Help identify potential cost risks and savings opportunities in project estimates.
- Collaborate with customers, vendors, and other personnel in defining the scope of work and specifications.
- Apply industry standards and codes to all job specifications.
- Assist with technical compliance during final design, procurement, and construction.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support Engineering/Design department.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (preferred but not required with equivalent relevant experience).
- Knowledge of fabrication, piping, structural, and packaged systems is a plus.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar CAD software for reading technical drawings (preferred).
- Proficient knowledge in industry standards is a plus.
- Proficient in MS Office with advanced knowledge of MS Excel.
- Strong organization and planning skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced work environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to analyze project specifications accurately.
- Willingness to develop estimating skills, receive training, and grow in the role.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to sit for extended periods while working on a computer and reviewing technical documents.
- Frequent use of a computer, including typing, viewing screens, and working with estimating software.
- Occasionally required to visit project sites, which may involve walking, standing, and navigating industrial environments.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. for reviewing materials or project samples as needed.
