Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting the overall financial health of the organization. This role requires proficiency in accounting software and a solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Duties
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Prepare and maintain financial reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
- Perform general ledger reconciliation to ensure all transactions are recorded correctly.
- Perform monthly bank settlements.
- Utilize accounting software, such as , to manage financial data efficiently.
- Prepare financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information.
- Write detailed financial reports to provide insights into the organization's financial status.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting and budgeting.
- Handle sensitive or confidential information with honesty and integrity.
- Perform local bank deposits.
- Office administration support
- Perform Human Resources duties including policies & procedures, onboarding, managing administration personnel.
Skills
- Proven bookkeeping experience.
- Proficiency in accounting software.
- Solid understanding of basic accounting principles.
- Experience with governmental and public accounting is a plus.
- Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and proprietary software (PCLaw).
- Excellent financial report writing skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to perform general ledger reconciliation accurately.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Excel.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Effective communication skills for collaboration with team members and stakeholders.
