What are the responsibilities and job description for the GIS/Mapping Analyst position at Reagan Smith, Inc?
A GIS/Mapping Analyst will assist the Reagan Smith Mapping Manager will assist a dedicated, agile GIS team and contribute to our state-of-the-art project management software.
The GIS/Mapping Analyst will work with all departments at Reagan Smith including wildlife, archaeology, permitting, land etc in developing project maps and field maps while interpreting data and designing projects. No two projects are the same. There are opportunities for field visits and field data collection. The analyst will also work with the Mapping Manager in adapting and growing our state of the art project management software, Land Scout.
Your will work with the mapping team in researching, processing, and ultimately mapping a variety of datasets. There will be an emphasis on data quality, analysis, and documenting your methodology. These projects support the strategic goals for our software and business. You will experience firsthand how the data you compile is used for archaeology, conservation, oil and gas regulation, renewable energy, and much more.

Applicants should have a degree in Geography, GIS or related field and a minimum 3 years experience.
