Responsibilities
As the new REAL ALLOY QSR/Operations Planner for our Morgantown, Kentucky location, you will provide direct assistance to the Operations Managers in the daily production operations at Morgantown with with planning, directing and coordinating all aspects of raw materials from incoming loads through to the melting & pouring process and partner with production personnel to meet customer expectations.. The QSR/Operations Planner will also help provide continous improvement, technical support while managing the Quality & ISO Programs.
Provide direct assistance to the Operations Managers in the daily production operations at Morgantown with planning, directing and coordinating all aspects of raw materials from incoming loads through to the melting & pouring process and partner with production personnel to meet customer expectations.
Core Accountabilities:
- Audit incoming scrap loads & working with purchasing on proper grading of scrap to include downgrading or rejection.
- Provide technical support for the melting and pouring processes, to include recovery testing & finish product quality.
- Ensure all Lab requirements are being met.
- Organize special projects and materials testing as required for business needs.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety and environmental regulations. Builds a culture that promotes safety and participates in safety audits and initiatives
- Review and analyze production, quality control, maintenance, and operational reports to determine causes of nonconformity with product specifications.
- Assist with Production Planning/Scheduling when needed.
- Assit with charge make-up/blends when needed as back up capacity.
- Manage the Quality, ISO program and compliance
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred.
- 2-4 years working with aluminum scrap & alloys preferred.
- Proven ability to function with minimal supervision while also leading others toward plant goals
- Ability to plan and organize effective and efficiently
- Results and detail oriented
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (teamwork oriented) a must
- Committed to high standards of ethics and integrity
- Desire for advancement within the organization
