About the Business:
Growing, dynamic companies in the Healthcare, Real Estate, and other sectors, led by a visionary entrepreneur. We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Personal Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to work directly with the business owner in managing personal and business financial matters.
As the Personal CFO, you will play a critical role in providing high-level financial strategy, oversight, and guidance for both personal and business financial planning. You’ll work closely with the business owner and investors to align their financial goals with overall business objectives, offering expert advice on financial matters such as investments, tax planning, and cash flow management. The candidate will be responsible for directing and guiding the objectives, goals, property of the business and investments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Management & Planning:
Oversee the financial health of the business owner's personal and business accounts. Develop and implement comprehensive financial strategies that maximize the financial growth of both.
- Budgeting & Forecasting:
Work closely with the business owner to create detailed budgets, financial forecasts, and reports for both personal and business finances, ensuring a clear path to achieving financial goals.
- Investment & Asset Management:
Advise on investment strategies, asset allocation, and opportunities for financial growth. Ensure alignment between the owner’s business and personal investment portfolios.
- Tax Strategy & Compliance:
Collaborate with tax professionals to optimize the business and personal tax strategy, ensuring compliance with all tax laws and minimizing liabilities. Stay up to date on tax regulations and implement tax-saving strategies.
- Cash Flow Optimization:
Monitor and manage both personal and business cash flows, identifying areas of improvement and ensuring liquidity for short- and long-term financial needs.
- Estate & Wealth Planning:
Work with estate planning professionals to establish a comprehensive wealth transfer strategy that secures the business owner’s legacy while minimizing estate taxes.
- Risk Management:
Identify potential financial risks, recommend appropriate strategies for mitigation, and ensure that both personal and business financial assets are protected.
- Collaborative Partner:
Serve as a trusted financial advisor and sounding board for the business owner, helping to make informed, strategic decisions related to both personal and business finances.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Proven 5 years of experience as a financial strategist, or similar senior financial role, ideally within a fast-growing or entrepreneurial environment.
- Strong understanding of both business and personal finance, including tax planning, investments, budgeting, and financial risk management.
- In-depth knowledge of financial software and tools, with experience in both personal and business finance systems.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial concepts to individuals without a financial background.
- Discretion and integrity, with the ability to handle sensitive financial matters with professionalism and confidentiality.
- Strong problem-solving skills, proactive attitude, and an ability to make sound financial decisions under pressure.
- A finance-related degree (e.g., Finance, Accounting, Economics) or professional certifications such as CPA, CFA, or CFP is preferred.
