Job Purpose:
Entrepreneur High School Fontana is seeking a dedicated and experienced Boys High School Junior Varsity Soccer Head Coach to lead our junior varsity soccer team for the upcoming season. The successful candidate will be responsible for coaching, mentoring, and developing student-athletes at the junior varsity level to prepare them for potential advancement to the varsity team. The Head Coach will be expected to create a positive and inclusive team environment that emphasizes sportsmanship, teamwork, discipline, and personal growth, with a focus on soccer-specific skills, game strategy, and injury prevention.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Plan, organize, and conduct regular team practices, conditioning sessions, and games.
Develop and implement effective soccer strategies, including offensive and defensive game plans, to enhance team performance.
Teach and reinforce soccer-specific skills such as dribbling, passing, shooting, defending, and positioning.
Focus on player development by assessing skills, providing constructive feedback, and creating individual improvement plans.
Monitor and maintain players' physical fitness levels, including strength and conditioning programs tailored to soccer.
Foster a positive team culture that promotes mutual respect, discipline, and sportsmanship.
Provide mentorship and guidance to student-athletes, focusing on their academic, athletic, and personal development.
Coordinate and communicate with assistant coaches, athletic trainers, and school administration.
Maintain accurate records of team statistics, individual performance, and other relevant data.
Organize and oversee team activities, including travel arrangements, equipment management, and fundraising efforts.
Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and the community regarding team activities, schedules, and achievements.
Transport student-athletes to games or practices using the school vans as needed.
Adhere to all school district policies and procedures as well as state athletic regulations.
Ensure compliance with all CIF Southern Section (CIF SS) rules and policies.
Minimum Requirements:
Previous coaching experience at the high school or collegiate level, preferably as a head or assistant soccer coach.
Strong knowledge of soccer, including rules, strategies, techniques, and conditioning.
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to build positive relationships with student-athletes, parents, and school staff.
Commitment to fostering a safe, inclusive, and supportive team environment.
CPR and First Aid certification (preferred).
Valid coaching certification or willingness to obtain one prior to the start of the season (as required by the state or school district).
Physical demands:
Ability to exert up to 10 pounds of force to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects
Ability to physically demonstrate and participate in sport-specific drills and activities.
Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and travel as necessary for practices, games, and events.

This is an outstanding opportunity for a highly motivated individual to assume a fundamental role in an innovative school environment.
The stipend for the Boys Jr Varsity Soccer Head Coach position is up to $2,900 for the soccer season. Compensation may vary from year to year based on the number of programs and student participation levels, number of junior varsity and varsity programs; as well as the number of students attending the school.
