Position Overview
As an Equity Partner, you will play a crucial role in expanding the firm's client base, with a particular focus on growing relationships with a major healthcare system client on the East Coast. Your primary objective will be to build and lead a strong team in the West, positioning the firm to secure labor and employment work currently serviced by another firm. This is an exciting opportunity to showcase your leadership skills and drive the growth of a key practice area.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategies to expand the firm's labor and employment client base
- Cultivate and strengthen relationships with key clients
- Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing team of attorneys in the West Coast office
- Collaborate with colleagues across the firm to pitch for and secure new labor and employment work
- Provide exceptional legal counsel and representation to clients in labor and employment matters
- Contribute to the firm's overall growth and success through active participation in business development and thought leadership initiatives
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
- Admission to California Bar
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in labor and employment law, with a strong background in litigation
- Proven track record of generating substantial business ($1.5m client following) and leading successful teams
- Exceptional client relationship management and business development skills
- Strong leadership abilities and a commitment to mentoring and developing junior attorneys
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
- Collaborative mindset and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
