Sr Application Engineer - Mechanical

I am partnered with my client based out of Cleveland in the industrial space on a Senior Application Engineer search to support the design and development of their sealing solutions. My client is a small, dynamic organization that partners with OEM and maintenance/repair customers to create custom solutions and increase reliability for their customers.

Here is some information about the role and skills needed:

• CAD Proficiency: Skilled in creating detailed 2D drawings using AutoCAD and developing complex 3D models with SolidWorks for sealing solutions.
• Material Expertise: In-depth knowledge of elastomers and thermoplastics, ensuring proper material selection and verification against operating parameters such as temperature, pressure, and media compatibility.
• Engineering Analysis: Proficient in classical engineering analysis, including hydraulics, pressure, force, stress/strain, and thermal expansion to validate and optimize seal designs.
• Technical Communication: Adept at assessing customer needs, preparing and delivering technical presentations, and providing comprehensive technical and non-technical support.
• Customer Interaction: Experienced in problem-solving specific to sealing applications, conducting seal failure analysis, and maintaining effective communication through phone, email, and video conferencing.
