Job Title: Desktop Support Specialist
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Desktop Support Specialist to provide technical assistance and support to our internal users. The ideal candidate will be responsible for resolving desktop and software issues, installing, configuring, and maintaining hardware and software components, and providing excellent customer service.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Respond to help desk tickets and provide timely resolution to technical issues.
2. Install, configure, and troubleshoot desktop hardware and software components.
3. Provide technical support for printers, scanners, and other peripherals.
4. Collaborate with IT team members to develop and implement technical solutions.
5. Set up new user accounts and assist with onboarding and training.
6. Maintain accurate documentation of IT assets and inventory.
7. Keep abreast of latest technology trends and provide recommendations for improvements.
8. Ensure compliance with IT security policies and procedures.
9. Perform system upgrades and maintenance tasks as needed.
10. Assist with network connectivity issues and Wi-Fi troubleshooting.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred.
2. Minimum of 2 years of experience in desktop support or IT technical support role.
3. Strong knowledge of Windows and Mac operating systems.
4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and troubleshooting software applications.
5. Familiarity with Active Directory and Group Policy management.
6. Excellent communication and customer service skills.
7. Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
8. A certification or other relevant certifications preferred.
