Responsibilities
The position’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Implementing a full complement of lifestyle activities for a variety of demographics, including families, adults, singles, and baby boomers.
- The Lifestyle Coordinator would assist the Social Events Committee planning a variety of community events including holiday events, movies in the park, concerts, off-site trips speakers, cultural, health and education programs.
- The Lifestyle Coordinator is also responsible for supervising amenity rentals to maximize income and use for Board, Committee activities, Club, Special Interest Groups, and Facility Renters.
- This may include providing tours of the facility, scheduling follow-up appointments for contracts, developing rental layouts, producing marketing materials, collecting funds, inspecting rooms after an event, and authorizing refunds of deposits based on inspection results.
- The Lifestyle Coordinator will serve as an event coordinator, working with various user group on logistics and overseeing the setting up of tables, chairs and decorations, etc. for all rentals.
- The position will also communicate with residents to keep the community informed between publications and to provide a forum of information exchange between residents, management, and the Board of Directors.
- Plus other work-related tasks as needed
The position is not a traditional 8 AM - 5 PM desk job. Many events are held on weekends, evening, and holidays.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Be able to assist in event set up and break down.
- Associates Degree or equivalent in experience required, previous event planning/program management experience a plus.
- Customer Service Skills: An enjoyment of connecting with homeowners, being friendly, helpful, and providing an excellent level of service.
- Strong Communication Skills: including reading and writing comprehension.
- Team Player: Happy to help with other duties if necessary and willing to go the extra mile.
- Decision-making Skills: Must be able to think on your feet and adapt to changing conditions.
- Technical Skills: Able to pick up practical skills easily and become proficient in using them.
- Previous event planning experience preferred.
- Ability to multi-task and be organized
Pay and Benefits:
$19 - $20 per hour, depending on education and experience.
