Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Accounting Intern to join our dynamic real estate services team at Realogics Sotheby’s International Realty. This role offers hands-on experience in financial operations, providing an excellent opportunity to develop practical skills and gain exposure to various aspects of accounting and finance within the residential real estate industry. Responsibilities
- Maintain vendor accounts by posting transactions, updating contact information, and reconciling discrepancies such as discounts and credits.
- Investigate and resolve account discrepancies through supporting documentation review and active follow ups.
- Monitor accounts to ensure timely payments.
- Maintain accurate and current records.
- Support other Finance and Accounting tea members as needed including commissions support.
- Review and process Company-issued credit cards; communicate with your team members to resolve issues.
- Perform email reviews and responses.
- Maintain and update vendor contracts and the vendor master spreadsheet.
- Other general staff accountant duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Proficiency in data entry and analyzing information.
- Effective verbal communication and customer first service skills.
- Intermediate knowledge of Excel, including working with formulas
- Understanding of mathematics and general accounting principles.
- Familiarity with QuickBooks Online (QBO) and AP vendor management systems is a plus.
- Experience in the residential real estate industry is a plus
- Previous work with a Finance & Accounting Department is not a requirement
Compensation

Location: We are headquartered on Lake Street in downtown Kirkland, WA. In office work will occur primarily at this location with hybrid/remote work planned for the position once trained.
Schedule: This is a part-time employment position at up to 20 hours per week depending on qualifications; a minimum of 6 hours per week commitment is required on an ongoing basis.
