Job Duties
- Directs all of the operations of the Transfer Station within Company guidelines and State Environmental Quality Rules and Regulations; and supervises the operators, laborers and all other personnel assigned to the transfer station. This position will be required to work shifts including evenings, weekends, holidays, as necessary by the department, and during inclement weather.
- Supervises and insures that all of the required reports and paperwork are completely and correctly filed out and submitted.
- Reviews and inspects daily operations of the Transfer Station including heavy equipment, transfer trailers, to ensure that operations at the Transfer Station are performed as smoothly and safe as is reasonably possible.
- Investigates and documents accidents and property damage.
- Conducts and documents safety instructional meetings with personnel.
- A minimum of two years of solid waste experience and two years supervisory work experience
