Position Overview:
As a Senior Accountant, you be responsible for completing the monthly accounting journal entries and reporting requirements for the company’s various corporate assets and liabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
General Ledger
- Prepare journal entries and select general ledger account reconciliations in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
- Prepare monthly derivative settlements and quarterly derivative reconciliation of the general ledger accounts.
- Prepare monthly credit investment reconciliation and quarterly financial reporting schedules.
Concur System Administration and Management
- Provide administrative oversight, support, and process optimization related to the system management of Concur, the company’s expense reimbursement system.
- Process monthly credit card payments, cash journal entries, and perform account reconciliations.
- Prepare Concur system access review to validate approval limits are complete and accurate.
Other Responsibilities
- Participate in and lead special projects that drive organizational goals and objectives.
- Engage in cross-training activities to promote team learning and continuity across key areas such as debt, impairment, and payroll.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness within the accounting department.
Qualifications:
- A qualified candidate is typically expected to have 2 years of public accounting experience (Big 4, National Firm, or Industry). However, varying experience levels will be considered.
- Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- Clear understanding of U.S. GAAP.
- Strong financial acumen and knowledge of financial statements.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet public company reporting deadlines.
- Detail oriented, reliable, flexible, efficient and take ownership of own work product.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Intermediate MS Excel skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
- REIT or Commercial Real Estate industry experience.
What you will get in return:
The base salary for this role is in the range of $78,839 - $112,341
You may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus and an annual discretionary stock award, (dependent on date of hire) to be discussed during the initial phone interview. Base salary and total compensation package determined by the candidate's experience, knowledge, education, skills, performance, and abilities, as well as internal equity, company performance, and alignment with market data.
