What are the responsibilities and job description for the Excavation Foreman position at Reaper Siteworks?

Not only is the foreman the face of our company on every jobsite, the foreman is also the first leader that other employees will look to for guidance, training, and opportunity. We are seeking an individual that not only has the field experience to complete a project on time, on budget, and to plan, but also has the people experience to elevate their team and show what it means to take pride in their work.
A successful foreman will go beyond checking the boxes on the list of responsibilities below, they will find ways to improve the company, the processes, and the results as a matter of ownership in their role at Reaper Siteworks.
Responsibilities
- Manage site operations and tasks of equipment operators and laborers, including trade partners working under Reaper Siteworks contracts
- Conduct daily safety pre-task meetings
- Complete daily reports
- Complete equipment checklists, daily maintenance of equipment
- Read plans and communicate design requirements to operators and laborers
- Manage project schedules, communicate changes and progress effectively with client and project manager
- Monitor and purchase small tools/materials for projects, communicate equipment and material needs to project manager
- Complete QA/QC reports
- On-the-Job Training for new hires and existing team to produce growth, efficiency, and unity
Qualifications
- 5 years of experience in civil construction, underground utilities, grading/earthwork, or equipment operation. Open to considering less than 5 years, case dependent.
- OSHA 30-hr
- CPR
- Bonus: additional certifications, trainings, or licensing relative to construction, heavy equipment operation, or specialty trades
- Additional compensation for Class A CDL holders
