JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Human Resources Generalist to oversee HR operations for Reaume Richardson with a workforce of approximately 30 employees. This role will be pivotal in streamlining human resources and recruiting processes, shaping our office culture, managing benefits, ensuring compliance, and driving people-focused initiatives. This is a part time, nonexempt position, requiring on-site presence in our Pasadena office location up to 25 hours per week.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Policies & Benefits
- Develop, implement, and maintain company policies in line with state regulations
- Oversee benefits administration and compliance including compensation, medical/dental/vision, 401k, workers comp, ancillary benefits
- Process payroll accurately and on time for exempt and non-exempt employees
People
- Manage employee review and feedback programs within HRIS system
- Collaborate with leadership on conflict management and preparation of Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs)
- Define and facilitate or coordinate facilitation of soft skill training programs, including DiSC, anti-harassment, workplace violence, and people management trainings
- Lead all sourcing and recruiting efforts
- Ensuring a smooth onboarding process for all new hires per company onboarding procedures
- Manage employee offboarding, ensuring compliance and a positive exit experience
- Oversee company culture initiatives and manage facilitation of team building events as Culture Committee Lead
Tools & Systems
- Serve as the administrator for the HRIS tool (Miter HR)
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- 5 years of HR experience
- 1 years of experience in recruiting and sourcing
- 1 years of experience in the commercial construction industry
- Strong knowledge of HR best practices, labor laws, and regulations
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
- High emotional intelligence (EQ)
- Experience with HRIS systems and payroll processing
- Experience with Microsoft systems (Outlook, Planner, OneNote, Teams, Excel, Powerpoint)
