Summaryof Position : Under the direction of the VP of IT, the System Administrator is responsiblefor managing and maintaining the organization's IT environment, with a primaryfocus on Microsoft 365 administration, endpoint management, and IT security.This role requires hands-on experience with Office 365 services, end-usersupport, and security best practices. The Administrator will troubleshoottechnical issues, implement IT policies, and ensure a stable, secure, andefficient IT infrastructure that supports business operations.
Duties and Responsibilities :
Microsoft365 Administration
- Administer and optimize Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, and other related platforms.
- Manage user accounts, groups, and permissions in Azure Active Directory (AAD).
- Implement and enforce security policies, compliance settings, and data protection measures in Microsoft 365.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot errors, and optimize configurations for high availability and efficiency.
Device& Endpoint Management
Oversee deployment, configuration, and lifecycle management of company devices, including desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals.Utilize enterprise device management solutions (e.g., Microsoft Intune, SCCM, or similar MDM tools) to automate updates, enforce security policies, and manage endpoint compliance.Provide troubleshooting support for Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android devices.Ensure asset tracking and inventory management for IT equipment.UserSupport & IT Helpdesk
Serve as primary technical support for internal employees, ensuring timely and effective issue resolution.Develop and maintain IT knowledge base articles and training documentation for employees.Escalate complex issues to vendors or higher-tier support when needed.Assist in onboarding and offboarding users, ensuring proper account provisioning, access rights, and device setup.Network& Security Administration
Assist with basic network troubleshooting, including LAN / WAN management, firewall configurations, and VPN setups.Monitor and maintain endpoint security solutions, including patch management, antivirus, and MFA policies.Conduct regular security audits, vulnerability scans, and risk assessments.Support compliance initiatives by ensuring adherence to IT security policies and best practices.Backup& Disaster Recovery
Manage and oversee data backup and disaster recovery strategies to protect business-critical data.Conduct periodic backup tests and restore procedures to ensure business continuity.Document and improve disaster recovery protocols.ITPolicy & Documentation
Develop and update IT policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and system documentation.Stay current with emerging technologies and industry best practices to recommend IT improvements.Ensure compliance with company IT policies, regulatory requirements, and security guidelines.Collaboration& Project Support
Work closely with cross-functional teams and business stakeholders to support IT-related projects.Participate in system upgrades, migrations, and IT infrastructure improvements.Provide training and guidance on new IT tools and security practices.Qualifications :
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).2 years of experience in system administration, specifically with Microsoft 365 and endpoint management.Technical Skills
Microsoft 365 : Proficiency in managing Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, and Azure Active Directory.Device Management : Hands-on experience with tools like Microsoft Intune (or similar MDM solutions) for endpoint deployment and policy enforcement.Windows & macOS : Strong understanding of operating systems, user account management, and configuration.Networking : Basic knowledge of TCP / IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and firewall management.Security : Familiarity with endpoint security, anti-virus / anti-malware, MFA, and security best practices.Scripting (Preferred) : Basic knowledge of PowerShell or other scripting languages to automate tasks.Soft Skills
