Position Overview:
Looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer with a strong emphasis on design excellence and design for manufacturing. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of developing innovative, efficient, and repeatable mechanical designs. This role demands a high level of creativity, technical expertise, and the ability to translate complex requirements into practical engineering solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and development of mechanical components and systems, focusing on meeting customer requirements while incorporating innovation and efficiency.
- Utilize advanced CAD software Inventor to create detailed 3D models and ASME compliant engineering drawings.
- Conduct design reviews and collaborate with team members and stakeholders to refine and improve design concepts.
- Perform in-depth simulations and stress analyses to validate design performance and reliability.
- Develop prototypes and conduct testing to ensure designs meet performance, safety, and quality standards.
- Create and maintain comprehensive design documentation, including specifications, drawings, reports, tooling, tolerances, and user manuals.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends to incorporate innovative solutions into designs.
- Work closely with manufacturing teams to ensure designs are feasible and cost-effective to produce (DFM/DFA).
- Address and resolve design-related issues and challenges throughout the development process.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Relevant experience with a strong emphasis on mechanical design.
- Proficiency in CAD software Inventor and experience with advanced design tools.
- Demonstrated ability to develop innovative solutions and push the boundaries of design.
- Experience with complex heat dissipation and thermal optimization design.
- Experience in finite element analysis (FEA) and other simulation methods.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong and respectful communication skills, with the ability to effectively present design concepts and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to mechanical design.
