The Real Estate Board of New York (REBNY) is a not-for-profit trade association that works to protect, improve, and advance the business of real estate in New York City. REBNY has over 15K members and a staff of 50 people, led by an executive team that reports to REBNY’s Board of Governors, which is comprised of the leaders of the New York real estate industry.


Overview:

The Director, Residential Brokerage Services, is a strategic leader tasked with delivering services, events, and products to meet the evolving needs of NYC’s residential real estate market. Engaging with all REBNY membership classes, the director serves as an internal and external liaison, ensuring cross-departmental alignment to maximize the impact of timely and relevant initiatives.


Responsibilities:

· Cultivate and manage relationships with key industry stakeholders, focusing on the top NYC residential brokerage firms owners and management companies.

· Oversee select REBNY industry committees from meeting facilitation to deliverables.

· Lead the redesign and execution of networking events, including the Residential Deal of the Year, ensuring successful achievement of fundraising goals.

· Bring creativity and ingenuity to member engagement efforts.

· Become the face of REBNY to inform the agent community about updates and important efforts.

· Partner with all REBNY departments to educate, inform, and promote products and services to member firms, acting as a liaison to ensure optimal utilization of REBNY offerings.

· Collaborate with the SVP of Residential Brokerage and the RLS Director of Operations to launch new RLS product in partnership with industry leaders and strategic partners across all membership categories.

· Partner with Government Affairs team on legislation and policies that support the real estate business.

· Lead presentations, roadshows, information sessions, demos, and other public-facing efforts.

· Negotiate and secure contracts with venues, vendors, and clients.

· Drive key milestones, goals, and timelines across events, projects, and products within the residential brokerage portfolio.

· Collaborate with REBNY departments to address the residential brokerage division’s needs, including communications, marketing, advocacy, research, policy, legal, and accounting.

· Develop measurable short- and long-term goals for residential brokerage events and programs, with a focus on generating positive public relations for REBNY within the residential real estate community.

· Additional responsibilities might be assigned as needed.


Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree with 10 years of experience

· Preferred experience in NYC’s residential real estate industry, including direct relationship management of key players.

· Superior public speaking, facilitation and presentation skills.

· Proven leadership and people management skills, empowering teams through knowledge-sharing, coaching, and growth opportunities.

· Strong financial management capabilities from budget creation to ongoing oversight.

· Experience leading and implementing tech solutions for NYC’s residential real estate market.

· Rigorous in developing project roadmaps and using data-driven insights to influence C-Suite decision-making.

· Exceptional relationship-building, diplomacy, and consensus-building capabilities, with a talent for navigating complex political landscapes.

· Knowledge of real estate technology, listing services, data insights, and their impact on brokerage business and market opportunities.

· Highly organized, with a commitment to documenting business processes to stay on track and drive results.

· Big-picture thinker who aligns strategic efforts with broader organizational and industry goals.

· Exceptional self-starter, proactive communicator and collaborator with experience working with colleagues across functions and leadership levels.

Salary : $120,000 - $125,000
