What are the responsibilities and job description for the Material Cutter - 2nd Shift position at RECARO Automotive North America, Inc.?
Overview:
Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the Material Cutter is responsible for operating and maintaining computer numerical control (CNC) machines to precisely cut and shape various textile materials by following pre-programmed instructions, ensuring high-accuracy and quality in the finished product.
Key Responsibilities:
- Read and understand blueprint designs
- Setup of the CNC machine at beginning of the shift.
- Monitoring the cutting process
- Performing periodic quality checks on cut materials
- Assist in loading raw materials on the CNC machine.
- Selection of the correct set up fixtures based on cut specifications.
- Periodically adjust parameters such as speed, feed rate.
- Diagnose and resolve issues that may arise during the cutting process.
- Communicate material needs to materials department
- Maintains a clean and organized work environment.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Proficient in use of computers
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent organizational skills
- In depth knowledge of textiles is preferred
- Ability to lift up to or over 50lbs occasionally
