SUMMARY
The Quality Tech is a member of the quality management team at our Williamston, SC location. He / she performs inspection of materials and products for conformance to defined requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Reads and interprets materials, such as work orders, inspection manuals, to determine inspection and test methods / procedures.
- Inspects materials, products, and work in progress for conformance to defined requirements per the boundary book and check sheets
- Marks items for acceptance or rejection, records test results and inspection data, and compares findings with specifications to ensure conformance to standards.
- Discards or rejects products, materials, and equipment not meeting specifications.
- Recommends corrective action procedures, and compiles reports of results, recommendations, and needed repairs.
- Tests and measures finished products, components, or assemblies for functioning, operation, accuracy, and to verify adherence to functional specifications.
- Reads dials and meters to ensure that equipment is operating according to specifications and is calibrated.
