Summary of Description:
The Technician will work under the supervision of an assigned specific discipline and based on experience the individual evaluates, selects, and applies standard applicable techniques. Could include discipline work of purchasing, expediting, NDT Inspection, project controls, surveying, laser scanning, schedulers, planner, construction inspectors, project coordinators, automation, controls, etc.
Duties:
- Assists assigned supervisor in various aspects of projects assigned.
- Applying standard discipline techniques to make minor adaptations and modifications.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.) with additional specialized training, or college course work, and at least six (6) years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above.
License Requirements:
- Valid Driver’s License as per State law or requirement
Specific Skills:
- Detailed working knowledge of Policies and Procedures related to project work.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to walk up to one mile on industrial plant and construction sites outdoors at any time of the year.
- Ability to work in protective clothing which may elevate body temperatures by several degrees Fahrenheit for periods of up to 15 minutes without a break.
- Ability to use multi-level stair towers and rung ladders unassisted.
- Ability to hear safety alarms and signals while wearing hearing protection.
- Ability to sit at desk and operate computer for extended periods of time.
- Ability to stand, use hands and fingers, grip, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; and talk and hear.
- Ability to see with visual acuity and distinguish between colors.
- Ability to operate a motor vehicle and have a valid driver’s license.
- Ability to lift and carry 15 lbs. on a regular basis is required and at times lifting up to 25 lbs. may be required.

Job Summary
The Information Analyst provides business process analysis along with information system support and development services in a team-oriented environment. This position is also responsible for continuing self-development along with team planning and leadership as needed and functions with limited supervision. This position also has primary and secondary support responsibilities for numerous other refinery applications, both custom and third party, including numerous complex SQL Server database applications. Occasional weekend duty is also required. The person in this position applies an extensive background of technical expertise along with analysis and an understanding of business and practical requirements to meet the business needs of our users by recommending, creating, and implementing technical solutions to business needs.
Minimum Qualifications
- Providing analysis, making recommendations, and creating solutions regarding improvements in project/systems development, design, or implementation
- Planning and coordinating project teams and successfully executing projects
- Using problem solving skills to determine and develop alternative approaches to highly complex problems
- Responding to critical application support issues in a 24x7 environment
Job Duties
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related degree, or 7 years of Information Technology experience in lieu of degree
- Analytical and problem solving skills
- Experience installing, configuring, and diagnosing complex applications and databases
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Valid driver's license required
