Summary of Description:
This position is responsible for managing engineering related projects. Project Managers will also be responsible for ensuring projects are completed and meet the defined requirements/budgets.
Duties:
- Work with clients to define business requirements for projects.
- Development of detailed work scopes that align with the clients’ needs.
- Development of detailed control budgets to meet scope of work.
- Development of project timelines to meet work scope and client requirements.
- Management of assigned resources to ensure projects are completed on time.
- Work with vendors/suppliers to acquire equipment and technology.
- Maintain proper project documentation.
- Promote professionalism throughout the workplace.
- Promote safety on assigned projects.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
A Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an accredited University with at least eleven (11) years of experience in industrial work including but not limited to refinery, petrochemical, chemical, offshore, pipeline or utility industries; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above.
License Requirements:
- Valid Driver’s License as par State law or requirement
- Professional license preferred but not required

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to walk up to one mile on industrial plant and construction sites outdoors at any time of the year.
- Ability to work in protective clothing which may elevate body temperatures by several degrees Fahrenheit for periods of up to 15 minutes without a break.
- Ability to use multi-level stair towers and rung ladders unassisted.
- Ability to hear safety alarms and signals while wearing hearing protection.
- Ability to sit at desk and operate computer for extended periods of time.
- Ability to stand, use hands and fingers, grip, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; and talk and hear.
- Ability to see with visual acuity and distinguish between colors.
- Ability to operate a motor vehicle and have a valid driver’s license.
- Ability to lift and carry 15 lbs. on a regular basis is required and at times lifting up to 25 lbs. may be required.

Description:
Project Manager with a preferred background in I/E project management. The Project Manager would manage both capital and turnaround projects. Specific turnaround need is for a fall sulfur recovery unit turnaround - both mechanical and I/E focus.
Responsibilities May Include:
· Assembling and leading a full-time team to effectively execute the project.
· Overseeing the preparation and implementation of the Project Execution Plan
· Leading the FEL process, completing gate reviews, and obtaining management approvals
· Leading the Contracting Strategy effort, managing the contractor evaluation, bid and award process.
· Managing cost, schedule, procurement, and the billing payables groups
· Interviewing and approving personnel from the contractor's organization
· Understanding contracts and managing contractors to maximize performance, controlling costs and minimizing claims and change orders.
· Setting up project facilities at site and in the contractor's office
· Setting safety expectations for the project and leading the team to achieve safety goals.
· Ensuring plant Operations and Maintenance personal are engaged and that they understand their responsibilities.
· Ensuring that proper schedules are issued, reviewed, and used to drive Project performance.
· Ensuring the accuracy of the cost estimate as well as monthly cash flow forecasts
· Setting up programs to manage vendors, fabricators, and any required specialty contractors.
· Ensuring that quality processes are followed.
· Developing, gaining approval for, and managing to project KPI's and metrics
· Leading development of a risk management plan
· Preparing and giving presentations to various levels of the Company and other stakeholders
· Timely and efficiently closing out of the project.
Requirements:
· TWIC Card
Basic/Required:
· Bachelor's Degree or higher in Engineering.
· Must have prior experience managing both capital and turnaround projects. Specific
turnaround need is for a fall sulfur recovery unit turnaround - both mechanical and I/E
focus.
· 10 or more years of project management experience working in the oil and gas or petrochemical industry.
· 5 or more years of experience working as a Project Manager with sole accountability for the project.
Preferred:
· 10 or more years of experience working as a Project Manager with sole accountability for the project
· Working knowledge of industry recommended practices, design methods and QA/QC requirements
· Working knowledge of federal, state and local regulations, industry standards and DOT requirements
· Experience managing engineering and construction contractors and multiple project teams
· Licensed Professional Engineer
· Project Management Professional Certification (PMP)
