The Facilities Technician is responsible for the repairs and maintenance of all facilities within the Dallas/Fort Worth geographical region, acting as the back-up contact for emergency situations that affect the company’s ability to do business.

Position Summary
The Facilities Technician is responsible for the repairs and maintenance of all facilities within the Dallas/Fort Worth geographical region, acting as the back-up contact for emergency situations that affect the company’s ability to do business.
Responsibilities/Duties
- Acts as a contact for employees to address any building issues related to climate control, Odors, smoke, spills, damage, emergencies, Maintenance, and repairs.
- Monitor and manage the Facilities maintenance request system.
- May monitor contractor performance and work closely with outside vendors and contractors to ensure work is completed according to specifications.
- Assists with maintaining building security and immediately responds to building emergencies.
- Assists preparation of maintenance schedules, PM’s and operational routines.
- Monitors and replaces light bulbs in all assigned facilities, as needed.
- Makes minor plumbing and painting repairs, as necessary.
- Coordinates and assists with departmental and employee moves.
- Performs basic electrical work and determines when an electrician is required.
- Dismantles and installs furniture, cubes walls and warehouse racking.
- Transports goods via PIT equipment.
- Performs scheduled cleaning duties necessary to maintain clean facility.
- Must have the ability to become certified and proficient in the operation of forklifts and scissor lifts.
- Performs other duties and tasks as assigned.
Education/ Work Experience
- Certificate in trade school or equivalent work experience in any field related to maintenance, plumbing or electrical.
- 1-2 years of Construction and/or Facilities maintenance experience.
- Must have computer program (MS Office) experience and be able to utilize/view a PC and/or monitor.
- Must be able to demonstrate basic understanding of Facilities Operations and procedures.
