We are actively seeking a skilled Electrical CAD/BIM Technician to join our dynamic engineering team. In this pivotal role, you will support our engineering and operations teams by utilizing AutoCAD and BIM to create precise electrical design drawings. Key Responsibilities
- Generate code-compliant electrical design drawings employing AutoCAD and BIM.
- Interpret architectural and mechanical engineering drawings and blueprints accurately.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to analyze internal requirements and adjust designs accordingly.
- Produce part detail and assembly prints aligned with established engineering standards.
- Develop electrical one-line and three-line diagrams and control schematics.
- Prepare material lists for ordering and fabrication purposes.
- Engage with team members to design detailed components and troubleshoot design challenges.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and BIM.
- Solid understanding of electrical power and control wiring.
- Competence in interpreting schematic and wiring diagrams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and effectively allocate time.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in designing high and low voltage electrical industrial systems.
- Experience with control and instrumentation circuits in accordance with UL, NEC, and NFPA standards.
- Previous industrial electrical installation experience is preferred.
