Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients to determine their mental health and substance use needs.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that address both mental health and substance use disorders.
- Provide individual and group therapy sessions to support client recovery and progress.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other health professionals to coordinate care for clients.
- Monitor and document clients' progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Educate clients and their families about co-occurring disorders and available resources.
- Participate in team meetings to discuss client care and share best practices with colleagues.
- Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field.
- Valid state licensure as a mental health professional (LCSW, LPC, etc.).
- Experience working with clients who have co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders.
- Strong understanding of evidence-based practices for treating dual diagnoses.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a compassionate approach to client care.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage a diverse caseload.
